The GLP-1 Adherence Wallet
Reimagining Supplement Packaging for the GLP-1 Era

Overview
GLP-1 medications are transforming weight management worldwide.
As millions of people begin treatment with medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, a new category of nutritional support has emerged. Patients frequently require additional supplementation to help manage common side effects including sleep disruption, fatigue, nutritional deficiencies, reduced protein intake and hair thinning.
While treatment has evolved rapidly, the packaging supporting these products has remained largely unchanged.
Most supplements continue to be supplied in bottles designed for storage rather than success.
SheMed approached us to challenge this.
The result is the GLP-1 Adherence Wallet - an innovative packaging platform engineered specifically to improve routine formation, supplement compliance and programme completion for GLP-1 users.
By combining daily dose organisation, educational content, progress tracking and premium wellness branding into a single integrated experience, the wallet transforms packaging from a passive container into an active behavioural support tool.
The Journey
STARTING TREATMENT
Motivated and ready to begin
EARLY ADAPTATION
Body adjusts,
side effects may occur
DAILY ROUTINE
Supplements become part of everyday life
MID-PROGRAMME
Staying consistent becomes harder
SEEING RESULTS
Motivation increases with progress
LONG-TERM SUCCESS
Consistency leads to sustainable outcomes
The Challenge
GLP-1 users face a unique challenge.

Success depends on consistency.

Yet support supplements are traditionally delivered in multiple bottles that create friction throughout the treatment journey:

Most importantly, conventional packaging plays no active role in helping users achieve better outcomes.
We believed it should.
Forgotten doses
Poor adherence
Difficult progress tracking
Packaging clutter
Limited portability
Disconnected product experiences

The Insight
Most supplement packaging is designed around storage.
We designed around behaviour.
Research consistently demonstrates that successful health outcomes depend not only on product efficacy but also on routine, consistency and long-term engagement.
The greatest barrier to supplement success is often not the formulation itself - it is adherence.
This insight led to a simple question:
What if the packaging itself could help people succeed?

The Solution
The GLP-1 Adherence Wallet
The SheMed Adherence Wallet replaces traditional supplement bottles with a structured 28-day wellness programme.
Each wallet contains clearly organised daily doses, creating a visual pathway through the programme and eliminating the need for pill organisers, reminder systems or secondary tracking tools.
The system combines:

within a single package.
The experience feels less like taking supplements and more like progressing through a guided wellness journey.
Daily supplement delivery
Progress tracking
Educational content
Nutritional information
Digital support integration

A New Packaging Typology

At the heart of the project is a bespoke wallet structure developed specifically for supplement adherence.

Unlike conventional formats that separate product, information and tracking across multiple components, the wallet integrates everything into a single experience.
28 days
A complete monthly programme.
56 capsules
Organised into clearly labelled daily doses.
100% dose visability
Every remaining dose remains visible throughout the programme lifecycle.
One integrated system
Replacing:
- Supplement bottles
- Outer cartons
- Leaflets
- Adherence trackers
with a single compact solution.
The result is a new packaging category positioned between healthcare, wellness and behavioural design.

Engineering Better Adherence
The project required the development of a bespoke blister architecture capable of delivering a complete 28-day programme within a highly compact format.
Standard blister tooling could not accommodate SheMed’s dosage requirements, requiring the development of custom cavity tooling engineered specifically to house two capsules per daily dose.

The final structure combines:
-
Medical-grade PVC and aluminium blister panels
-
Precision die-cut carton construction
-
Large-format cold-seal assembly
-
Custom blister tooling
to create a durable, intuitive and highly scalable packaging system.
Every interaction was designed to reduce cognitive load.

Users never need to:

Count capsules
Track remaining supply
Estimate missed doses
Organise supplements manually
Interlocking Blister Architecture
A key innovation of the wallet lies in the way the two blister panels nest together when the wallet is closed.

Each 14-cavity blister panel was engineered in a 7 x 2 configuration, with the spacing between cavities carefully calculated to allow the opposing panel to interlock within the negative space of the other. The 9.5mm gap between cavities works in harmony with the 10.5mm blister height, tapering down to 9mm at the curved section, allowing each raised cavity to sit inside the opposing panel’s channel rather than stacking directly on top of it.

This interlocking geometry was essential to maintaining the wallet’s slim 2cm maximum thickness while still holding 56 capsules across a full 28-day programme.
Without this nested blister configuration, the pack would have become significantly bulkier, reducing portability, storage efficiency and the premium wallet-like experience.

The result is a highly compact structure that can be flat-stored, efficiently palletised and comfortably carried, while still delivering a complete monthly supplement system in one integrated format.

Humanising Healthcare
Healthcare packaging often forces consumers to choose between clinical trust and emotional connection.
SheMed was designed to deliver both.
The visual language combines healthcare credibility with premium wellness aesthetics, creating an experience that feels reassuring, organised and aspirational.
A modular colour architecture enables multiple formulations to exist within one cohesive ecosystem.
Sleep-focused products utilise calming blue-to-purple gradients associated with rest and recovery, while beauty and collagen formulations adopt burgundy and rouge tones that communicate vitality and self-care.
Using Montserrat typography and a highly disciplined information hierarchy, every element was designed to simplify navigation and reduce friction. Because the products are supplied exclusively through SheMed’s online programme rather than retail environments, the exterior remains intentionally clean and uncluttered, allowing the structure and experience to take centre stage.
